Below are the costs of some of our more common repairs for Gaming Consoles.

We service all major consoles, including Nintendo Switch (all models), PlayStation 5 and 4, and Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One X/S.

If a part isn’t in stock, we’ll need to order it. A deposit is required to start the repair, and please note that part deposits are non-refundable. Want tracking info on your part order? Just ask — we’ll share it when available.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the game console HDMI port replacement service?

When game consoles are brought in for HDMI port replacement, they are disassembled and cleaned, and a new port is installed. We do not repair the existing port since the structural integrity of the port is compromised when damaged. Your repair also includes new thermal compound, which is necessary maintenance for gaming consoles.

My console sounds like a jet when I play for too long! What’s going on?

Your console likely needs a thermal tuneup, which is a normal part of maintaining your console. As consoles age, the thermal compound on the processor can dry up and prevent your console from cooling itself properly. If this happens to you, bring the console in, and we’ll get you back to gaming in no time!

I have stick drift on my controller. Can you fix it?

We sure can! Most controller repairs start at $40 plus tax and are done the same day. We also offer upgraded sticks for an additional charge.

Can you mod my gaming controller?

Definitely! When it comes to controllers, the sky's the limit. We can add paddles, mouse-click buttons, hair triggers, vinyl wraps, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Come by, and we can build a quote based on your preferred specifications.

My console has bugs in it, what can I do?

Unfortunately, consoles are warm, dark, and the optimal space for critters to live. Wisp offers a full quarantine process that involves extensive cleaning of the console to ensure that all insects in a system have been removed. Environmental factors will need to be addressed by the client to prevent reinfestation.

My console needs to be reset. Will I lose all of my save progress?

If you have a PlayStation, you will need to subscribe to PS Plus to ensure cloud saving. For Xbox users, an Xbox Live account is required, and cloud saving must be enabled in the account prior to resetting the console.

Are there any consoles that Wisp does not work on?

Whether it is a Super Nintendo, PlayStation 2, or Xbox 360, Wisp is happy to take a look at it. Occasionally, parts for older consoles can be a bit trickier to obtain, but we will gladly diagnose your console and explore all repair options for even the most retro of consoles.
