Frequently Asked Questions
There is never a diagnostic fee at Wisp. No matter what device you bring in, we will take a look and get you a quote for repairs at no charge to you.
Wisp offers a 6-month warranty that covers any defects in the part or workmanship. It does NOT cover physical damage or liquid damage to the device. If you are unsure whether something is covered under our warranty, just ask!
One of the most common questions asked in the repair industry! OEM stands for “original equipment manufacturer” and means that the part comes from the same company that manufactured your device (i.e., Apple, Samsung, LG, etc.). “Aftermarket” refers to any part that was manufactured by a third party, and quality can vary greatly. “Aftermarket OEM” means that the part is manufactured by a third party, but meets the specifications of the OEM part. This is typically the highest quality of aftermarket parts, and is what Wisp uses for many repairs to keep costs down for our clients while still retaining the quality of your device’s original part. OEM parts are available at the request of the client, and we will provide a price quote upon request.
Yes, we do! Wisp is proud to offer this service at no charge to keep e-waste out of landfills.
Wisp does not charge for unsuccessful repairs. If a deposit was paid to get a part on order, that deposit will be refunded to you as long as we are able to reclaim the new part.
We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and business checks. We do not accept personal checks or money orders. For remote payments, we offer online invoicing through Square. No phone payments are accepted.
Wisp does not offer repair services on printers, televisions, smart watches, or DSLR cameras. We do service cameras on phones, tablets, and computers.
Many devices have electronic components that will need repair at some point. You would be surprised at what can be repaired! From light-up shoes to coffee makers, we’ve fixed it all, so bring in your device and we can get you a quote for repairs.
Whether it’s a swim in a tub, toilet, pool, or puddle, Wisp has your back when it comes to liquid-damaged devices. Skip the bag of rice and bring your device to us as soon as possible to get a free assessment. While repairs are not always possible on liquid-damaged devices, we will do our best to retain any data from your device to ensure a seamless transition to a new device.
Unfortunately, Wisp does not purchase any devices from clients.
Yes. Wisp does offer onsite services when our clients cannot travel to us, or when the repair or service needs to be performed in its working environment. This can be especially useful when setting up devices in an office, or performing simple repairs on multiple devices at a time. If you are in need of onsite services, give us a call and we can schedule a time to come out.
